Maa started with Apatu Farms back in 2010 in a seasonal position in our Onion Packhouse and was offered additional seasonal positions within our Irrigation department.
His reliability, commitment and dedication to the tasks were second to none, along with his mechanical aptitude and always showing his willingness to learn!
Maa became a full-time employee in 2015 working between our Onion Packhouse and Irrigation programme. However, Maa’s engineering skills and his invaluable knowledge of our onion packing line, has seen his career move to full time within our Onion Packhouse – Team leader for our front of house forklift crew, an Engineer during our winter maintenance programme and helping out with any initial training of our seasonal Irrigation staff.
