Apatu Farms is a leading Hawke’s Bay Agribusiness focused on growing quality produce for prominent local and global customers.  Operations span across Vegetable, Pipfruit, Viticulture, Dairy, Export and Transport activities.

We are looking for an Orchard Supervisor to join our Pipfruit Team based in the Hastings area. This supervisory role will be responsible for ensuring our seasonal staff are safe, well and trained to the quality standards we require.

About the role:

Reporting to the Orchard Foreman and/or Assistant Manager, you will effectively supervise and coordinate a team of seasonal workers ensuring our orchard hands understand what is required of them, know what to do and when to it.

About you:

• Willingness to get stuck in, lead and work with a team to achieve high-quality results.
• Be physically fit with a positive can-do attitude
• Have good communication & interpersonal skills and seek help when needed
• Ensure compliance with Apatu Farms’ health & safety policies, procedures and rules
• Ensure all workplace incidents are accurately and efficiently recorded in a timely way
• Ability to pass a drug test

Applicants also need to have NZ Citizenship / Residency or a valid NZ Work Visa.
