Herd Manager
We are looking for an experienced Herd Manager to join our Plantation Dairy team.
Apatu Farms is a family-owned, Hawkes Bay based agribusiness focused on growing and producing quality crops and dairy for local and global customers.
Due to an external movement we are looking for an experienced Herd Manager to join our Plantation Dairy team located in Ongaonga, Central Hawkes Bay. This is a permanent fulltime position.
About the role:
Reporting to the Farm Manager, and as part of a wider team, this role will support the day to day running of the farm. Some of your duties will include stock work, milking, farm repairs, maintenance and weed control activities to optimise the farm’s performance.

About you:
- You have previous experience working in dairy farms.
- You are a New Zealand Citizen / Resident
- You hold a current drivers licence and be confident with operating tractors and other farm-related equipment
- Willing to get stuck in, work with a team and achieve high-quality results.
We have a room available in shared accommodation alternatively this role would suit someone living in the Central Hawkes Bay region.
