Plantation Dairies is a high-performing dairy operation milking up to 1,800 cows through a modern 60-bale rotary, supported by a skilled team, quality infrastructure, and well-maintained equipment.
We are looking for a Tractor Driver to join our Plantation Dairy team. Reporting to the Machinery & Farm Operations Lead, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating machinery, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a professional dairy farming operation.
About the role:
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of the farm. You’ll work across feeding, irrigation, pasture management, and general machinery operations, helping ensure the farm runs efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating tractors and mixer wagons to feed stock.
- Moving and managing K-Line irrigation systems.
- Operating effluent irrigators and supporting effluent management.
- Cleaning and maintaining farm raceways.
- Operating mowers, tip trailers, and other farm machinery.
- General machinery and infrastructure support.
- Assisting with seasonal farm operations as required.
- Maintaining equipment to a high standard.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
About you:
- Previous experience operating tractors and agricultural machinery.
- Some dairy farming experience is essential.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Pride in maintaining machinery and work areas.
- Reliable and willing to get stuck in.
- Full driver’s licence preferred.
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
