Join our team for the 2026 Onion Packhouse season
Apatu Farms is a family-owned Hawkes Bay agribusiness focused on growing quality produce for prominent local and global customers.
We are looking for motivated people to join our Onion Packhouse team for the 2026 season (approximately early Feb-end of June/July).
About the role:
We have a number of positions available within our Onion Packhouse situated in Omahu Road, Hastings. Positions range between Grading, Bagging and Stacking as well as general packhouse support roles.
The other key bits:
- We have a great team environment (with many of our team returning for multiple seasons!)
- Good earning potential for the season
About you:
- You’ll be willing to get stuck in, be a team player and achieve high-quality results.
- Be able to work for the full season and flexible with work hours. (up to 6 days of the week, Mon-Sat with up to 12 hour days during the busy harvesting season).
- Be physically fit with a positive can-do attitude
- Committed to a safe and healthy workplace
Applicants also need to have current entitlement to work in New Zealand.
